This is the 1st annual CC Roadrunner Dash 4 Cash 3 person relay, 15k and 5k. It will take place on a scenic 3.1 mile loop trail course during the peak of summer. 5k runners will make 1 loop, 15k individual runners will make 3 loops, and relay team runners will make 1 loop and hand-off. Start time is 730am @ Oso Creek Park located directly behind Bill Witt park/soccer fields. It will begin on jeep dirt trails and will proceed directly south onto the beautiful, shaded single track trail system along Oso Creek shoreline. This is not your average everyday course, its twisting, changing, and rugged trails should make for a competitve outcome among all relay teams. As you and your team hand-off and finish, the live DJ will be motivating you to cross the finish line as fast as possible. Come out and enjoy a different side of Corpus Christi that many have never seen or even heard of. These trails were just recently cut and created by the Corpus Christi Parks and Recreations dept. Race, Run or Jog while enjoying the sights and scenery of wildlife along with a new experience in Corpus Christi running. This event also includes a post-race bar-b-que, complete with live music and a plenty of water, snacks, and Gatorade.
This is the first year of our event and there is a 100 team limit, so register early to ensure a spot.
CASH PRIZES ARE FOR RELAY TEAMS ONLY- 150.00 Cash Payout will be for 1st place only in each age group category. 5K & 15K- Prizes will be non-cash trophy prize for 1st,2nd,3rd place overall in each race. No age group awards.
