Description
This year H.I.S. Centre, in partnership with Acacia Medical Mission, is taking our Community Health Care to the Streets of Comal County and we need YOUR HELP to reach our $80,000 goal!
Street medicine, also referred to as street outreach, brings services out of the clinic and provides care directly to people experiencing isolation or homelessness to prevent medical conditions from deteriorating to the point of needing emergency care. Street medical providers can provide the same primary care services on the street or in the homes of shut-ins as they can in physical clinics.
100% of the proceeds will go to our Community Health Program 2023 Street Outreach Initiative

1. Packet Pick Up: Packet pick up will be 07/03/2023. Times and Locations TBD and will be emailed out.
2. Kids Race Times/Details: All kids will run at the same time roughly 15 minutes before the start of the 5k/10k (7:15 Kids Start)
3. 5K/10K: The 5k & 10K walk/run will begin at 7:30 AM inside Bulverde Park. The route is an out/back (starting and finishing within the park). See detailed routes at the end of FAQ.
4. Water Station: There will be a water station halfway and at the 10K turnaround. This race is using paper cups. Please be conscious about throwing your trash in a trash can and not on the sides of the street or in the residential yards.
4. Awards Ceremony: Awards ceremony for the 5K will be at 8:30AM and the 10K 9AM. There will be overall male/female and age based awards for this race.
5. Parking: If you are familiar with Bulverde Park, you know there will be limited parking within the park. Once the park parking lot is full, you will need to park in alternate locations and walk in. If available, we will use GeoSource across the street.
6. Photos: Come dressed in your finest red, white and blue! We will have Photo Wolfe as our race day photographer to capture your family memories this day! Photos will be available roughly 3-5 business days after the race in order to allow for race photo tagging by bib number. These photos will be FREE to you, and are part of a generous photo sponsor - Massage Heights - Bulverde/Spring Branch/New Braunfels
7. Race Day #hastags: Document your race day by using the hashtag #runbulverde and tagging us @hiscentre
8. Post Race Snacks & Vendor Village: Visit the vendor village in the Bulverde Park Pavilion before/after the race to grab a snack and drink!
