START & FINISH: Will start and end at Lamar University's Montagne Center
COURSE: Is a fast, fast USATF Sanctioned/ Certified, Boston Qualifying course that circles
Lamar University and winds through downtown Beaumont. Route is a half-marathon loop. Marathoners will run 2 laps.
STARTING TIME: Marathon & Half-Marathon - 7:30 a.m. / 5K - 8:00 a.m. Teams start with their selected distance. Event date: Saturday, March 8, 2014.
Marathon: $80 (until Feb. 1), $95 (until last day of registration)
Half Marathon: $70 (until Feb. 1), $85 (until last day of registration)
5K: $25 (until Feb. 1), $35 (until last day of registration)
Team Structure
You can register a 5K team or a half marathon team. Everyone on the team must run the same distance. For instance, all 5K team members run the 5K race with everyone at the same time. This will give each runner a 5K result and a team result. A team consists of 5 members each running the 5K. Half marathon teams have 3 members. Team awards are based on the sum of the team's age graded times. Age grading is a process that adjust a person's time based on age and sex. This way a team will not be disadvantaged for having older members. Team members are also eligible for individual 5K Awards.
5K Teams (5 members): $200 per team
Half Marathon Teams (3 members): $270 per team
The event is held rain or shine. There are NO REFUNDS.

PRIZES: There will be Finisher medals, age group awards, and tech shirts. Packet pickup: Edison Plaza in downtown Beaumont on Friday March 7th, 11 am - 9 pm.
Non-profit Organization: The Gusher is hosted by the nonprofit organization Sports Society for American Health. Our professionally sanctioned sporting events focus on raising awareness and funds for children's health and education. We appreciate the generous support of the athletes, volunteers, community, local merchants, and civic organizations.
