Officer Jose Meza passed away in the line of duty on December 20, 2019. Officer Meza was only 30 years old, he passed away from a fatal heart attack after extensive training with his K9 partner. His family and friends created Project 316 as a way to raise money for other first responder families. The 5K is intended to get everyone moving. We cannot always detect heart failure but we can help the heart out by encouraging eachother to move.
