100 Years and Running LWVSAA 5K Run/Walk

The annual 100 Years and Running 5K Run/Walk benefits the League of Women Voters of the San Antonio Area.  The League, a nonpartisan organization, encourages informed and active participation of citizens in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.

The 100 years of Running 5K Run/Walk will include In-person and Virtual races.  Come join us for this fun, family friendly event along the Salado Creek Greenway to support our ongoing voter education and community outreach efforts.

POST RUN SOCIAL:  VISTA BREWING,  (1333 BUENA VISTA STREET) JOIN US ANYTIME FROM  1:00 - 5:00 PM ON SUNDAY, MARCH 19 FOR 1 COMPLIMENTARY BEER FOR REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS,  21 AND OVER.  SHARE YOUR RUN/WALK STORIES!

The In-person event will begin and end at Wheatley Heights Sports Complex, and the course will run along the Salado Creek Greenway Trail (course map below).  Strollers are permitted. No dogs are allowed at the event, except service dogs, due to the two-way traffic of runners and walkers on the course. The event will include:

• T-shirts in Men's, Women's and Youth sizes while supplies last.  Availability cannot be guaranteed for registrations after February 27, 2023.
• Chip timing
• Awards for top 3 male and female finishers for age brackets: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & over
• $25 Fleet Feet gift card for top Overall & Master M/F
• Free Kids Run
• Pre-Race Stretching at 8:00 am with Because Yoga and Esther Vexler Yoga School
• Music by DJ Paul
• Sausage Wraps
• KIds Activities - face painting, book giveaway, cookie voting, and more! 
• Post Run Social at Vista Brewing with 1 complimentary beer for registered participants 21 and over

The Virtual event can be run at any location, at any time, and will include:

• T-shirts while supplies last.  Register before March 1st to guarantee a shirt

Packets will be shipped to Virtual race participants.

• Note: Packets will ship after In-person packet pickup
• No international shipping
• A $6 shipping fee will be paid by the registrant

We intend to hold an In-person event. If for any reason we are not allowed to have a live race, we will switch everyone to a Virtual event. There will be no refunds.
