Texas State University - San Marcos SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) and the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Central & South Texas are collaborating on a project to help grant wishes for local children suffering from life-threatening medical conditions.

The 3rd Annual Race for Relief is a 5K marathon and a 1 mile pet walk that raises money to go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation®of Central & South Texas. Students and the community in San Marcos, TX, come out and support your local Make-A-Wish chapter by participating in the 5K or 1 mile race in San Marcos, Texas on Saturday, April 02, 2011 8:00 AM (Central Standard Time).  

What is the purpose of Race for Relief?
The purpose of Race for Relief is to help raise money to help grant wishes throughout our community. This year, more than 220 children diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition in central and south Texas will have their wish granted by the Foundation.  Many of the children of whom Make-A-Wish helps show excitement and joy beyond words.  With your help we can help bring this excitement to even more children in our area.
