Our mission: To balance the health, safety, and welfare needs of canines in the Central Texas area by providing nourishment and a safe environment for unwanted, stray, abused, and impounded Boxers. Once placed in new homes they become more than just pets, they become family.

Race Details
The Boxer Boogie starts and finishes at the McAllister Pavilion 2. All furry friends welcome to both 3K and 5K. All dogs must be on leash. This event will be chip timed. Metals and prizes will be awarded to top finishers. Food and snacks will be provided after the race. Come and relax, bring your best friend. First 150 receive free pair of Boxer Shorts! First 300 receive free event tshirt. New this year, the course is marked clearly along the paved trails.

The Boxer Boogie 3K, 5K is at 8:30AM at McAllister Dog park.
5K w/o dogs start is 8:30AM
3K w/o dogs start is 8:32AM
5K with dogs start is 8:34AM

Day of race registration and check in opens at 7:00am

Pets are welcome at this event!
They can even get their own bib number for $5.
If it is determined that weather conditions are unsafe for the event to take place, no reschedule date will be set and we are sorry but NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN. 100% of proceeds are considered a donation.

Event Directions
From Loop 410
Drive 3.2 miles on U.S. Highway 281 to Bitters Road.
Turn east on Bitters Road to the junction with Starcrest, then continue on Starcrest until Jones-Maltsberger Road; turn left on to Jones-Maltsberger and proceed 1 mile to the park entrance on the right at 13102 Jones-Maltsberger.

McAllister Park Info
Located adjacent to the San Antonio International Airport (KSAT), McAllister Park is San Antonio's largest and most popular city park. Featuring over 25 miles of trails for area hiking, bicycling, mountain biking and running enthusiasts, McAllister Park is a gateway to the upper Salado Creek Greenway (opened July 2010.) Part of a growing network of picturesque trails accessible to all non-motorized modes of transportation, including bicycles, pedestrians and wheelchairs, the Salado Creek Greenway's McAllister Park Trailhead is located next to the new dog park.

Course Description
3K, 5K, - The 3K, 5K is an out and back run/walk starting and finishing at McAllister Pavilion 2.

Course is along paved trails.
