At First Baptist Academy (FBA) in Portland, Texas our mission is to prepare children to be strong in spirit and Christian values and realize academic excellence in a diverse and changing world. The FBA is guided by a Christ-centered philosophy. God, in his wisdom, has given parents the responsibility for their children's education and discipline. FBA offers a quality education in a Christian environment. We strive to maintain a student body with high academic and moral standards.
We are the only private Christian school in San Patricio County serving grade Kinder Prep (3 year olds) through 5th grade. While most of our students pay to attend our school, we do have families who would want to raise their child(ren) in a Christian school however they cannot afford to send them due to their financial position. At FBA our goal is to strive to have sufficient funds to allow a family to have their child attend with subsidized funds. With this being said, the Academy is hosting a Faith Hope Love Run 5K and 1 mile kids Dash that will generate funds dedicated solely to scholarships.
