About this Event
Smoothie King presents Blended in the Bends 5K. This loop style event will test not only your legs but your stomach. Each participant will run to an "Aid Station" where they will consume an 12oz Smoothie. You must consume your Smoothie before you are allowed to continue in the event. If you "Discharge" your Smoothie during the event, you are "Disqualified". If you cannot consume your Smoothie as required, you will be allowed to finish the event but you are "Disqualified".
Date: Saturday, September 26, 2015
Time: 8:00am
Location: McCaughan Park area across from McGee Beach. This area is closed to vehicular traffic now that Shoreline has been rerouted.
Time Trial Start: Each participant will be given there own Start Time. You will come to the Start Line and you will be told to "Go" by the Timer. Participants will start approximately every 5 seconds.
Event: Three Loop course with each loop consisting of a Smoothie King "consumption". The course distance will be approximately 3.1 miles.

Packet Pickup:
Friday, September 25, 2015 from 11am to 6pm. Packet Pickup will be held at Smoothie King. Smoothie King is located at 5017 Saratoga Blvd, Corpus Christi, 78413. Smoothie King is located between Everhart and Staples on Saratoga.
Post Event:
All registered participants are invited to the post-event gathering with food, drink and entertainment.

Shirts:
You must register by Sunday, September 13, 2015 to receive a shirt. Registrations after this date MAY receive a shirt. Shirt size is not guaranteed but we will do our very best to obtain your desired shirt size.

Timing: Pendgo Timing will provide timing services for the 5K. Pendgo Timing uses only true State-of-the-Art equipment. You will be issued a race bib with a patented disposable timing chip attached. You will not be asked to stand in a long-line the morning of the event waiting for someone to hand you a shoe chip. After the event, you will not be chased down by someone trying to cut-off your shoe chip.
